Prof. Dr. Halil Atmaca

Orthopedist / Spine Surgeon

He was born on June 23, 1980, in Erzurum. After completing his primary and secondary education in Bursa, he came to Istanbul to continue his studies. He graduated from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Medicine, also known as Çapa Faculty of Medicine, and began his career as a medical doctor. Starting from his early years as a student, he had a strong desire to specialize in orthopedics and traumatology. He pursued this specialization at Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine and became an orthopedic specialist.

About Me

During his years as an assistant, he aimed to further develop his career in the field of spine surgery, musculoskeletal tumors, and cancers. He focused on enhancing his professional training in this direction. He continued his academic career for a while at the Faculty of Medicine at Akdeniz University, including the period of becoming an associate professor. Later, he transitioned to the private sector and continued his profession as a physician in his own private clinic. Since academic work has always been a significant part of his life, he actively participated as both a participant and an educator in numerous national and international conferences and courses. He also served as the director of a graduate institute for a period at Kocaeli Health and Technology University. Currently, he is a professor at the same university, where he continues to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. As a physician who dedicates constant effort to spinal health and deformities, he’s always been engaged in various sports. He believes in a philosophy of positive thinking and an active lifestyle for good health. He continues to be involved in multiple sports and aims to reintegrate his patients into sports and daily activities as quickly as possible. With this approach, he strives to maintain his profession as a doctor who advocates for sports as a means of promoting health and facilitating a swift return to daily life activities for his patients.
